Homemade Biscuits
Ingredients:
2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
3 tsp baking powder
1/3 cup shortening (such as Crisco)
¾ cup milk
Procedure:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Mix together the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Cut in shortening, making sure you get all the lumps out.
Add milk until sticky dough forms.
Flour counter and knead dough. Pat dough flat until its about 1 inch thick. Using a circular cookie-cutter; cut out biscuits and transfer them onto greased baking sheet, leaving them 2 inches apart. Bake 13 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
